April 17 --- FREE Earth Day Celebration

The FREE Earth Day Festival at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida is an area tradition!

Earth Day Festival 2010 - Presented by Fifth/Third Bank
Saturday April 17
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

No on-site parking at the Conservancy Nature Center. Free parking and free bus shuttle service will be available at the SW corner of Goodlette-Frank Road and Fifth Avenue South, across from Bayfront. Guests are asked to carpool and take advantage of the free shuttle service. Click here for map.

This earth-friendly event features an organic farmer's market, special environmental exhibits, vendors, children's carnival, face-painting, educational presentations, live entertainers and guest speakers.

Special eco-programs will run throughout the day in the Conservancy Auditorium:
10:00 AM Natural Café Puppet Show
11:00 AM Raptor Rapture – featuring a live bird of prey
12:00 Noon Whole Foods Cooking Demo
1:00 PM Raptor Rapture – featuring a live bird of prey
2:00 PM Food and Thought: Growing a Sustainable & Organic Garden---Florida-Style

Electric boat rides will be available along with Discovery Center programs.

Free admission is made possible by the presenting sponsor, Fifth/Third Bank. Other support for the event has been provided by Amerivest Realty.
